Colorado Avalanche goalie Semyon Varlamov, who turned himself in last week on charges of second-degree kidnapping, a felony, and third-degree assault, a misdemeanor, was released after posting the $5k bail and given permission to travel.  The Colorado Avalanche released a statement on the matter:

Varlamov’s girlfriend, Evgeniya Vavrinyuk told Denver police that he kicked, dragged her by her hair and stomped on her chest after he came home drunk, according to the Denver Post.  Varlamov met Vavrinyuk in Russia and been a couple for a year.

Meanwhile, check out Zach Parise looking good in Ralph Lauren gear.  The Minnesota Wild forward prepping for the upcoming Olympics in Sochi.  He was part of team USA’s silver medal win in the 2010 Vancouver Olympics too.

We all know how tough hockey players are, but pulling out your own tooth after getting knocked in the face??  Well, that’s pretty awesome. And that’s exactly what Pascal Dupuis did.  His Pittsburgh Penguins teammate Kris Letang accidentally hit him in the face with his stick, and Dupuis pulled out the loose tooth.

Speaking of dentistry, Anaheim Ducks forward Teemu Selanne underwent oral surgery after a high stick to the face by Luke Schenn during Tuesday’s game against the Flyers.  He lost several teeth and needed 40 stitches.  He is expected to be out for two weeks for the upper mouth damage.

Keep an eye out for commercials featuring former NHLers Cam Neely and Mike Richter–the commercials are part of the marketing campaign for the Bruins-Rangers Thanksgiving Showdown on Friday, November 29th at 1 pm ET on NBC.  Neely and Richter will also be on the Discover/NHL “Frozen Fall Fun” float at the Macy’s Thanksgiving Day Parade.
